Android user, web developer, and travel lunatic. I got tired of facing the same problems when sharing photos after a trip with iPhone/Android friends, so I created ShareThePic to make it easy and simple to share memories in original quality, rather than having the best memories stay on someone else’s phone.
How ShareThePic Works
Creating a shared photo album with ShareThePic takes under a minute. You sign up, name your trip or event, and the platform instantly generates a unique shareable link and QR code for your group.
From that point on, every member of your group — whether they're on an iPhone, Android, or desktop — opens the link in their browser and uploads photos directly from their camera roll. There is no app to download, no account required for guests, and no file size limit enforced by a messaging platform. Photos land in the shared album at full original resolution, complete with their EXIF metadata: capture timestamp, GPS location, camera model, and lens settings.
Once the album is live, everyone in the group can browse, download, and organize the collection at their leisure. One album link. Every photo. No chasing people in group chats two weeks later.
Why We're Different
Every major messaging app — WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram — compresses photos before sending them. What feels like a convenient share strips away the detail that makes a photo worth keeping. A 12-megapixel shot from your camera becomes a 1–2 megapixel thumbnail, metadata gone, original gone.
Cloud storage services like Google Photos or iCloud are great personal vaults, but they're walled gardens. Sharing across ecosystems is painful, download limits appear out of nowhere, and you can't easily collect uploads from other people into one place.

All your group photos and videos are stored securely using Cloudflare R2 object storage, which features automatic encryption at rest. In addition, access to each trip album is restricted to members who join via your unique, private invitation link or QR code.

Absolutely not. We do not sell your personal data or photos, nor do we show any third-party ads. Our service is funded solely through optional premium upgrades that extend trip storage limits and lifespans.
