Terms of Service - ShareThePic

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShareThePic, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. Our service is designed for rapid, group-based photo sharing with an emphasis on temporary storage and privacy.

2. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download copies of the materials (content) on ShareThePic's platform for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing and group sharing. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title.

3. Content Ownership & Deletion

You retain all ownership rights to the photographs you submit. By uploading content, you grant us a temporary license to host and distribute such content solely to members of your Trip Group.

Important: ShareThePic is a temporary storage service. All content is subject to automated deletion once a Trip expires. Upon expiration, content enters a 48-hour "Grace Period," after which it is permanently purged from our servers and cannot be recovered.

4. Storage & Storage Limits

Each Trip is subject to storage and photo-count limits based on its Plan Type (Free vs. Premium). Exceeding these limits may prevent further uploads until the Trip is upgraded or existing content is managed. We reserves the right to enforce these limits to ensure system stability for all users.

5. Automated Notifications

To help you manage your temporary galleries, we provide automated status notifications via email. By creating or joining a Trip, you agree to receive these lifecycle communications, including expiration warnings (24h, 9h, and 2h alerts) and storage limit notifications.

6. No Guarantee Against Saving

While we emphasize temporary storage, we cannot prevent invited group members from taking screenshots, screen recordings, or downloading images while they have active access. We are not responsible for the actions of individuals you invite to your Trips.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You are solely responsible for all content uploaded to your Trips. You agree not to upload any material that:

Is illegal, threatening, or promotes hate speech or violence.
Infringes upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
Contains sexually explicit material or child exploitative content.
Contains malware, viruses, or any code intended to harm our infrastructure.

Sharing illegal content will result in immediate termination of your account and may be reported to law enforcement agencies.

8. No Monitoring Obligation

ShareThePic provides a platform for private group sharing. While we reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms, we have no obligation to pre-screen or monitor private galleries. You acknowledge that you may be exposed to content from other group members that you find offensive; your sole remedy is to leave the group or delete the Trip.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to immediately suspend access or delete content without notice if uploads violate our Acceptable Use Policy or constitute an abuse of our infrastructure.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShareThePic, its contractors, and its licensors from and against any and all claims and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the service, including but not limited to your violation of these Terms or any content you upload.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Materials on ShareThePic are provided 'as is'. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the uninterrupted availability of the service or the absolute security of uploaded data against all potential cyber threats.
